I guess its true there's a first time for everything lol

But at the quarter pole I think the best teams are the defensive ones. People get so enamoured with QBs but how many times do we have to see it before we accept that exceptional defense beats exceptional QB

IMO Minnesota is the best team in the NFC. Will it stay that way? Well they have a leaky oline, no run game, average WRs, and an average QB who is absolutely playing well in Norv Turners system. Whats a shame for Bradford that he didnt get in a coryell system before year what 7? Anyhow my point is the Vikings have major flaws but have to be to be the best coached team in football. They simply do not beat themselves and their defense is not good but exceptional and consistently so - not just for stretches (Rams are you paying attention). Through 4 games I think they beat anyone in the NFC.

In the AFC the best team is the Broncos - While not as flawed as the Vikings offensively they are a work in progress and like the Rams are getting solid play (if not better) from their young veteran QB. Their defense is also exceptional. Not good, not very good...but exceptional, dominant and punishing.

You guys can love on these flashy QBs all you want but we have seen it time and time again when you have the defense to match those QBs the match always goes to the defense. ALWAYS

By the way I love Big Ben as a QB and the Steelers are a dynamic offense so this was not a diss of him

The ball takes funny bounces, doesn't it?

At the quarter point, it's kind of hard to say what a lot of teams "are".

Right now IMO the Steelers are the best in the AFC even though they have a bad loss and the Broncos are 4-0, but it's close for sure. Everyone else at this moment looks like they are a rung lower than those two. With Brady coming back that could change.

In the NFC it's a really difficult choice outside of MINN. It's a little cloudy.

It's still early so a lot can change but I will say I am totally enjoying the season. Mostly because the Rams are winning games that in recent years they would lose and I love seeing the "fight" they have. It's fun to see them play and not long ago I would watch and kind of hope they didn't embarrass themselves.

What's a shame is that the Rams had such horrible luck with his ACL injuries and gave up on him... Can't really blame them, but man I'd love to see a healthy Sam in our offense right now.

Glad to see him doing so well...was one of his last supporters around here at the end.
