\Tough business and with no D league you are basically using 35+ guys x 32 as tackling dummies for 5 months.
Ah its a business I know...
It's a long shot but these players do get a chance to make the team. They choose to take that chance, they do get paid and some get some pretty good signing bonus money. They get to practice at a high level and play in some preseason games. For many it is a once-in-a-life-time experience. They can always move on to another career later. I think calling them tackling dummies suggests they have no thought or choice in the matter. If it wasn't worth it, they wouldn't do it.
Some yes, but when you hear Fisher ask "where you going to? What's next? and the answers are "Maybe back to school.." or "I don't know.." Man that's tough.
R.I.P. Nelson aka TonyHunter87 1971 - 2017 far too soon..
Your last words to me: "Your a great guy RFIP. I was very sad when you left the board, and your son, but was glad to see you back. Take care my friend, may God be by your side." 09/09/2017 12:58AM
No Nelson, you were a far better man than I, and I am sure an awesome husband and father as well. I will miss you my friend. -RFIP
