Fisher will run Gurley into the ground to save his job
Otherwise Fisher has no chance of saving his job.
I doubt all that. Either way let me translate that into non-pessimist-ese.
(No harm meant by that, that's just me razzing an old friend.) Well. All coaches do what they think it takes to win. In 2012 and 2013, when Lynch was averaging 19.7 carries a game, was Carroll trying to save his job or (like all coaches) trying to win>
So with JF does trying to win games mean he will be running TG into the ground?
Well last year, when JF was also trying to win, in 12 games TG rushed the ball approximately 18.5 times a game. But that was last year. This year, Cunningham is better than he ever has been and Brown looks good too (and IMO also Green). In fact the Rams may be as deep at running back as we have ever seen them. The OL Is more mature than it was last year and looks like it will handle the rushing game better than it did in 2015. So do we really think JF will rush TG exclusively and not give carries to BC and/.or MB (and maybe even AG)?
And of course...there is every reason to expect the passing game in 2016 to be better than 2015, because there will not be the complete meltdown games we got from Foles.
We didn't even see their (always good) play action offense much this summer.
