Rampage2K-
The first team offense( minus our best player Gurley) went up and down the field on one of the best defenses last night... The red zone offense stalled, but it's not like we're gonna show anything in the preseason...and Denver has a pretty good defense. Our defense completely man handled them, only time Dnever moved the ball was when we took the starters out.
Goff has a rocket and would have had much better stats if not for all the drops by kids who prolly won't make the final 53. I feel bad for the rooks last night who had a chance to shine(Thomas, Hemmingway, Duke) but failed miserably ....
Like I said, the Rams aren't going to show much on offense in preseason, but still looked pretty good in these three games and that was without our best player (except for one series( which we scored a TD on)
Though we lost 17-9, I think it was a great showing by our ones...
Gurley was out and Austin might have well have been given that they've been "hiding" him in all 3 games. Think about last year's offense. Now take away the only two guys who represented any kind of threat. Tell me that the Rams would play 3 reasons games without those two, effectively, and still be able to move the ball and score some w/the 1st team O and I'd be very happy.
And I am.
Obviously guarantees nothing, but I appreciate the promise they've shown.
