I lean more with 9r... although I think game 2 unlikely... couple of reasons...
1. He isn't ready, Fisher won't want him in that soon even if he is ready and especially not against the Hawks.
2. I'm going to the game and to see Goff's first start, or even debut, while I'm there? I ain't that lucky. Not even close to that lucky.
Keenum has looked good... I wouldn't argue the point. Nor would I argue his 'heart', his 'work ethic', his dedication to being his best despite the 'in your face' drafting of Goff. All pluses. But I've seen this guy a few times in games now and while I thought he was horrible in his debut he came on well, didn't quit, did good. "good" isn't going to hack it. Or a better word is 'average'.. which is what I mean by 'good'. Preseason is one thing... no less so for Goff and Mannion playing the subs than for Goff playing the 1's. I'll be surprised, (not shocked), if Goff doesn't start by game 5. - JamesJM
Keenum is fine if the Rams can run the ball and play defense. But then the same would be mostly true of a rookie too but for different reasons.
So really the issue isn't Keenum (assuming he keeps playing well) it's the defense.
