And my enthusiasm for Spruce's hands is not merely based on a single exhibition game, either.
His reputation goes back throughout his college career. Plus the universal glowing camp reports by posters and beat writers. Not to mention the coaches and vet players, without exception.
Those 5 drops vs the Cowboys by Austin, Thomas, and Cooper? I bet Spruce makes ALL those catches. He just doesn't have drops. Can you imagine how the game would have been changed by converting those 5 drops into catches?
Along with Higbee's fine hands, Spruce's hands are a breath of fresh air for this O.
