That "don't make the final 53 .. they can "protect" zero. Any team can claim them off waivers.
If a team does NOT claim them off waivers and we sign them to the PS ... then I think it gets more complex.
If a team wants to sign them to their 53, and the players wants to go (I think that's a factor, he can refuse IIRC), then we have the option to "match" by putting him on our 53.
We're going to lose some talent ... the question is "how much?"
