ALL THE PARKING LOTS AROUND THE COLISEUM ARE CLOSED TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. Understand that going in.
No, unless you pay some carpetbagger sleaze ball an obscene amount of cash for his parking pass you will not get in.
If you get there really early, meaning breakfast time, you might find street parking if you want to risk that in that neighborhood.
There are private pay lots in the general area. Again, stop by McDonalds and get some breakfast sandwhiches as you will be there early.
Count on an all day thing and take your 14 year old to the Museums which are really cool. They have an Imax there at the California Science Center on the Northeast end of the Coliseum and they have a nice concession stand there inside the lobby of the Imax that you can go into anytime and get food and drink for a reasonable price. Certainly far more reasonable then the price gouging that goes on with the concessions in the stadium.
Here is a tip. GO TO LA UNION STATION ON ALAMEDA AND PARK THERE FOR 16.00 ALL Day and get yourself and your 14 year old a Tap card for a 7.00 all day pass and take the Redline and the Expo Santa Monica trains to the Expo USC station by the giant rose garden and get off there and walk to the stadium.
Only draw back is after the game is over its a cattle call on the return trip because now you have hundreds / maybe thousands who have all used the train that day. But it moves along quickly. Finding a place to sit down in the train may be a problem.
Anyways the train is a good option if you want to not worry about parking at the stadium.
