Fischer flat out tells the truth when he says times change. Players used to get in shape during camp, but now they are in shape year round. So they find other ways to use the time, including what he referred to as "recovery" time. The pool session has some therapeutic value, but it really is just a fun thing. It is funny to see some of the big ugglies shy away from the water. Brown wanted no part of it. He wasn't kidding.
I am not so sure that the robot controlled mobile tackling dummies have an immediate use, but it too was a good gag.
And someone please explain to Hayes how the dinosaurs in the water died out!! Except the crocs. They are real.
