The thing is the reports from TC have been that Spruce hasn't dropped one ball.
That can't be said about any other WR on the team and it's such a huge deal. One of the biggest issues with these WRs is that they drop too many balls.
If only for the fact that Spruce will be the only WR who doesn't drop ball he should be kept on the team. I don't care if Thomas or Williams show flashes and make some acrobatic catches. Those guys don't have Spruces hands and I want a guy who you can throw the ball to on 3rd and 5 and you just know he's gonna catch it. We don't have that without Spruce.
I watched a lot of tape on all the rookie WRs and none of them have the hands of Spruce. Their highest drafted rookie WR Cooper is not a natural hands catcher. Sure he can make plays, but on 3rd and 5, I feel a lot better when I see the ball going to Spruce.
