A league that lasted from 1946 to 1949. They were dreamed up the year the Rams moved to LA and were not considered a major professional football league.
They were not an established league like the NFL which had been around decades already.

Hard to recognize a league that last 3 seasons as major league but if want to dispute that go ahead.

The NFL actually absorbed three of the AAFC teams. The 49ers, Browns and the Baltimore Colts.
