If the major factor is "something else", then this team is doing a very poor job at identifying it and correcting it.

Well, no, they know what it is and so do we, really.

It's continuing issues with the OL (injuries, inexperience, or both). PLUS continuing issues with qb (injuries, Foles meltdown).

I would say offenses never do well when they have both issues at the same time. I can't think of any example of teams that did do well with both issues at once.

In fact to face both issues at once against last year's strong schedule, and come out 7-9 in spite of it. to me bodes well for the future.

Over the last 4 years, and 64 games, how many total were there where BOTH (a) the line was relatively healthy and NOT massively inexperienced, and (b) they had a starting caliber qb playing (which to me does not include Foles after he melted down).

Out of 64 games, it's 15. And none after 2013.

(If I add another qualifier---they also have to have a back who is a productive running threat---it actually reduces to 11 games.)

I just think this: if no team does well under those conditions, and those conditions have been the dominant ones, then, that explains the record more than any other factor.

So I look forward to the OL being more experienced and relatively healthy, and Keenum/Goff being more stable at qb than we have seen for a while. And to bring back the other qualifier, it helps to have a productive running threat in the backfield too.
