Considering everything we have gone through up until this week, all the injuries, all the emotions. Coaches on both sides of the ball getting hammered every week for sub par coaching and play calls!
Well, this week was different. I saw McVay call a very creative game using a player who just got to the team. He mixed it up well. Stuck with the run game for the most part. He did deviate a just bit but came back to it instead of abandoning it.
The teaching of the system to Mayfield in that short of a time is just amazing. An absolute masterpiece of coaching. Not many coaches could do what he just did. Kudos to Allen and the OL for helping him too.
The same goes for Morris and I don't mind saying it...
I thought he called his best game of the season.
It looked to me like Morris came into this game with a different game plan than normal.
I loved the one on one with Ramsey/Adams.
I saw what looked like "tighter" cushions.
I think I saw better adjustments to what the Raiders were trying to do.
The not playing Kendrick was a good call too!
Gimme some of more of this, please!
Anyway. Credit is due on BOTH sides of the ball for last night. There isn't one single player who has quit on this team and that says a lot about our coaches.
I think better play calling and more creativity on BOTH sides of the ball is what we all have been asking for. Last night, we got it!
Kudos to you Mr. Morris!
Kudos to you Mr. McVay!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
