If those 2 things happen then Ram QB search becomes moot and resources can be devoted to other positions. That is beyond huge.
What would be Mayfield’s motivation? Well, he’s had bad experiences at his first two stops whereas McVay and the Rams might be the best possible situation for him in his still-young career. Rams are well known for paying their starting QB’s very well and sure look like SB contenders if healthy.
And to think that no other team even filed a waiver claim on Mayfield. So much for the ‘expert opinions’, huh?
