I knew what was happening going into this game, so my focus and expectations were not on winning. I want to see what this team does with this kind of adversity, everyone is auditioning for our team next year.
The Great1) Knowing that the Andy Reid likely tore the offense to shreds on the trip home for having to settle for field goals four times ...
and
2) Those four field goals being the reason Im sneaking into fantasy playoffs in one league.
The Good3) I know who our backup QB is now.
4) Van Jefferson starting to get back into rhythm. I don't think we keep him after next year, but I like comp pics.
5) The backs were running pretty well. I still think Akers is superior, but Kyren made some good blocks and should serve as a useful 3rd down back.
6) I think that while Perkins isn't fast or quick, when he makes the decision to take off, his first few steps are powerful and long ... which really enables him to get to full speed immediately and arrive with some power at the end of his runs.
7) Matt Stafford is on the bench while this horrific line does its best impersonation of a sieve.
8) I'm starting to like our punter.
9) Nick Scott is becoming more of a joy to watch every week.
The Bad10) When throwing deep to a jump ball guy, keep it in bounds.
11) Ramsey on Kelce, it was a complex route and Mahomes had all day, but it was hard to watch.
12) Pacheco having a good day.
13) I'm trying to imagine ... if there were turnstyles where you had to run your card before the gates open, that seems about as long as our O line can hold up.
14) Why so few TE targets?
15) Seriously Robinson done for the year? What is this ride, it's terrible.
16) AD may have to miss his first game?
17) Jordan Fuller's hamstring taking more than 8 weeks to recover from?
The Ugly18) This season. I'm accepting it.
College19) Champ weekend in major conferences are mostly bad. TCU Kst might be good, and USC ... Utah? If you want to watch good games, look to the smaller conferences.
20) The offenses coming out this year and next, especially QBs, will change the landscape of the NFL. Just a lot of good players on offense.
21) Im thinking, at 35, there has to be a DE/ edge I'd trade for rather than picking one. Ideas?
22) Each time I do draft simulations, Im happy with the TEs, RBs, and OGs Im finding in the 5th. I'm using many different draft boards. I think we come away with 2 of each ... we have a lot of picks. 9 in the last 3 rounds.
Questions and comments welcome as always ...
