For me it’s the following and in this order:
Can this OL handle pass pro duties sufficiently? It’s crucial if Stafford hopes to work his magic.
Can this OL open some holes for Akers/Hendy? A strong running game opens up the entire playbook for McVay. A TOP advantage would be quite handy, too.
Will Stafford make good decisions today, especially avoiding turnovers?
Can Morris manufacture some semblance of pass pressure from this crew? Especially from the edge?
Those are my Big Four issues for today.
Here are some lesser issues that I hope to see improved:
Will the ‘real’ Akers show up? The one with vision, burst, and cutting ability? If not, will McVay use Hendy more heavily?
Will McVay call 3-step drop passes if his OL struggles with the Cowboy rush? Those long developing plays ain’t working if Stafford is getting sacked 7 times and heavily pressured on the others.
Will McVay not abandon the running game?
Will this be the game where AR and Stafford make a statement?
I enjoy watching this Kendrick kid. LOVE his aggressiveness. He’ll learn to pick and choose his spots better as he gains experience but he’s a player. Gonna be fun to watch him grow. Love Durant, too. Can’t wait for him to get healthy. (BTW, I strongly suspect that Ramsey is also a big fan of both these youngsters).
