The Los Angeles Rams’ backfield is getting healthier as Week 1 approaches. On Monday, both Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson Jr. returned to practice. Both had been sidelined for almost two weeks with soft-tissue injuries, and Sean McVay said as recently as Saturday that he wasn’t sure when Akers would return to practice.

He was confident Henderson would be on the field Monday, so that’s no surprise, but it’s good to see Akers back in the mix with the season opener less than two weeks away.


McVay said after practice that both Akers and Henderson were full participants, a sign they’ll both be 100% for the start of the season.

Rams head coach Sean McVay said RBs Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson Jr. were both full participants in today’s practice.
