The wait is almost over, Rams fans. Los Angeles will finally make its first pick of the 2022 NFL draft on Friday night, coming at No. 104 overall in the third round.
For anyone staying up to see the Rams make their pick – assuming they don’t trade down – it’s going to be a late night. It’s hard to predict exactly what time the Rams will go on the clock, but we can estimate based on when the 104th overall selection was made in past years.
It depends how quickly teams turn in their cards, but expect the Rams to make their first pick at around 11:40-11:55 p.m. ET tonight. It’s the second-to-last pick of the night, so make sure to drink your coffee and Red Bull.
The last time the Rams held the 104th overall pick, they selected Terrell Burgess out of Utah in the 2020 NFL draft. A lot of fans were excited about that pick, but he has yet to make a significant impact on defense in two seasons – the first of which was shortened due to injury.
The Rams only have one pick on Friday night but will come back with seven selections on Saturday for Rounds 4-7.
