Read that the Rams were letting Blythe go out find his market and then matching what he finds. I have heard of teams doing that before but how does that work unless the player is a restricted free agent? Sure Blythe's agent can say team X offered him 12 million at which case Rams will say congrats but how does the team know you did get that offer and why would the player allow the original team to match? I mean you might get a better offer but it is risky.
