It seems like ages ago that the Los Angeles Rams signed Aaron Donald to a record-setting contract, making him the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history at the time. But we’re less than two years removed from that deal being signed, and already Donald has been surpassed by three other players on the salary scale.

Despite making $22.5 million per year, Donald is just the fourth-highest paid defender in the league. Khalil Mack quickly one-upped him by signing a deal with the Bears worth $23.5 million annually, and in the last month alone, Myles Garrett and Joey Bosa topped both Donald and Mack.

Garrett first signed his five-year, $125 million deal ($25 million per year) two weeks ago, and on Tuesday night, the Chargers gave Joey Bosa $135 million for five years ($27 million per year).
