Just a thought. And I preface this by fully acknowledging the Rams have fairly long (~20%) playoff odds right now. But while attention has turned from the Seahawks to the Vikings as the team to overcome, maybe,
maybe it's worth looking at the 49ers.
Remember that, with the Seahawks win Monday night, the 49ers have incredibly at 10-2 (and as admittedly the 2nd best team in the NFL right now) been bumped to the 5th seed in the NFC. And now, after flying home from Baltimore to San Francisco, they fly east again to New Orleans this weekend.
Regardless of what Minnesota does going forward, if the Rams can beat Seattle and Dallas (it all starts or ends there...) while San Francisco loses to New Orleans and let's say beats Atlanta it sets up a Rams-49ers matchup in week 16 with BIG playoff implications. Because if (a very big IF) the Rams won
that game then week 17 is Arizona at LA while SF goes up to Seattle.
So you see where I'm going here.... A lot of ifs and maybes, but heading into week 14 it is
not just Minnesota the Rams are chasing...
