Rams have several guys that they need to get signed to an extension. But the question is, what is the priority since they probably can't keep them all?
I'd put Littleton at the top of the list. The guy is just the epitome of the modern NFL ILB. Can do everything.
Next, if he continues to excel, I'd think Fowler. The problem is that he's likely to command a lot on the open market so he may be too rich for the Rams blood.
After that, I'd put Blythe and Peters. Blythe is a solid RG. Not great but solid. Peters has to be considered because he is playing much more solid and disciplined D. Yet..... I suspect that he's going to want top dollar and I'm skeptical that he's worth it (ala Trumane Johnson).
There are others who have extensions coming, but can wait until mid next year. Kupp and Jefferson for example.
But there's only so many dollars to go around so I doubt all of these guys can be retained.
When I put all of these guys in a box, shake them up and say that if I had to pick two, the two that are absolute musts are Littleton and Kupp, with JJ just a hair behind them. And only because it's already clear that Rapp is going to be a heck of a player.
