A win is a win

It was not pretty .
Yes, we made life harder on us than it could have been.
Play calling at times was baffling.
Secondary looked shaky again.

But in the end we came away with another big win on the road , at a place that is known to be tough to win at for a long, long time.
Denver has some really good players on its roster and with the altitude to deal with the Rams still were in control the entire game.
The final result does not reflect the dominance we had.

Yes, McVay somtimes shows some of the bad side that we saw in Mike Martz when he was the HC. He tends to rely too much on the passing game, thinking he can do whatevern and whenever he wants to beat the opponent with the pass and the pass alone.
He must try to resist this notion or it will bite him sooner or later. Yesterday there were situations when he should have run the ball and put the game away a lot earlier. Denver NEVER proved to be able to stop our running game. Never.

But IMHO it is fantastic to see how far we have come that we get into discussions because we won at Denver only by 3 points!

Who would have thought that two years ago ?

It is a great time to be a Rams fan and I am enjoying this every day of the week and twice on game day!

McVay is a very special talent and has achieved a lot already but he is far from a finished product as a HC.
He is on par with Martz as an offensive mind and already way ahead of Mad Mike as a HC. If he works out the jinks in his approach we will have an elite HC here for a long time.

party time smiley

Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
