For real, stop the annual preseason drama posts until we have had a few bites of the apple.
Even after we eat the preseason apple, it never tells us the entire truth of what to expect in the coming season about how good or bad the starters or depth chart will perform in the coming season.
These are not your Scott Linehan, Steve Spagnuolo or Jeff Fisher Rams teams.
The 2017 Rams finally have a breakout
(winning regular season) under the guidance of Sean McVay but merely one year later his squad gets their ass kicked in the first preseason game and this means some of the the 2nd/3rd string units on the depth chart are going to perform horribly in 2018?
Yes the Rams 2nd and 3rd string units look like major crap against the Ravens but this really tells us how good the backups and role players will perform in 2018?
Wow, some of the posts on this board after the beat down the Ravens gave us in week one of the 2018 preseason is kind of laughable.
LA RAMS 2017 Preseason2017 Preseason week 1 Rams 13-10 over the Cowboys2017 Preseason week 2 Rams 24-21 over the Raiders2017 Preseason week 3 Chargers 21-19 over the Rams2017 Preseason week 4 Packers 24-10 over the RamsI remember after the Chargers loss last preseason there were many doom and gloom posts about Goff. There were many complaints and observations about the depth chart and certain players throughout the entire 2017 preseason like there is every year.
So Typical of fans to think they can gauge the quality of depth on an NFL team after watching preseason games. Some observations in the preseason are obvious but about 60% or more is practically guessing and has nothing to do with how well the reserves will play or how good the team will perform in the regular season.
I mean for real, don't we have this discussion every single year............ ughhh
