I was listening to these guys tonight. They made a point that made me think they just don't have the right factors built in.
They were discussing how Darnold was an easy choice over Barkley. I really don't want to debate that. But their words on other players amazed me.
They do not value the RB position. In fact they said the following...
Alvin Kamari's value was less than 91 WRs in the NFL. I mean...that doesn't even pass the smell test. Are you kidding me? Tell that to Drew Brees.
They are saying, in essence, all #3 WRs were a better value than a 3rd round pick who was a scoring machine running and receiving!!! They are saying Kamara should be drafted after, let's say a pretty darn good WR, Cooper Kupp! I love Kupp but really?
Now we don't need Kamara but surely we saw a special talent.
PFF needs to adjust their baseline to accurately reflect performance. The lack of great RBs, with a plethora of WRs, means you better go find that RB because wideouts are easier to find.
As for Barkley vs. Darnold for the Giants, I agree with the Giants!
