So Tree hurt his left arm badly. It was week 13 against the Cards - the same game he got that pick 6. I remember his arm dangling badly after that, and how much better Littleton was in replacing him. The following week Tree played again, but he was hurting the team in playing injured as he could not use his left arm.
As much as I admired his pluck, I could help but think that Tree was hurting the team by playing hurt, and I wonder if this had a negative effect on the Rams "We, not Me" mantra. It was selfish of Tree to play but a coach could also have taken him out. With Tree's status of captain I could see how this potentially could have sent the wrong message to the team. "Play hurt, even if you hurt the team."
