After watching Reid take down the Patriots on the road, I just continue to be amazed how he does it year after year.
Throughout his career players play at a higher level for Reid and he gets better results. He has never really had a top tier QB, but made them more than they probably should be. You see Smith playing better than ever. You see McNabb overachieving with the Eagles. The Chiefs have been winning with very little at the playmaking positions.
Simply put, Reid is an all-time great coach. The most important stat I believe in evaluating coaches is percentage of time making the playoffs.
Reid has made the playoffs 12 times.
And here is the eye dropping fact.
He is coaching his 19th season and has only 3 losing seasons with one of those 3 being his first year coaching. The fact that he has been winning in KC with so little playmaking talent until this year is just incredible.
Just incredible well done job and the best kept coaching secret probably in NFL history.
