Good times with good friends... So nice to finally have tailgate lot this year!!! Funny how a 12 hour day goes by in a blur when your having fun...
Anyways...about the game, as expected after the disaster of last year, the bandwagon fans have bailed and it wasn't 93000 people there in a frenzy. I'd say at least 45000-55000 maybe more were there by halftime....and about 40% Cowboy fans was no shocker, hard not for season ticket holders to dump preseason games for face value....50000 people in a 100,000 seat stadium still looks empty. I would imagine they were near the top for a preseason game attendence this week though... Unfortunaly the way the TV cameras point at the visitor side it makes it look like it was more Cowboys fans as they all tend to sit behind the Cowboys bench. All in all it was a pretty well behaved crowd, a few fights but nothing like last year.
From what I saw from section 14 - Goff looked sharp in very limited action, obviously the Rams were going with a very vanilla offense especially considering they play the Cowboys team week 4 and aren't going to show them anything. The fumbles were very concerning... Justin Davis would have been the star of the game, but he was brutal with the ball control...Rams shot themselves in the foot so many times, this game shouldn't have been close...too many dumb penalties also. Though it was a snoozefest most of the game, the last 5 minutes was pretty exciting as the Dallas fans started chirping when they thought they were gonna win a meaningless preseason game then watchIng them leave dejected for the second year in a row was priceless. Defense looked good, no complaints really from that game. Horrible call by the ref on the hit by Jordon? That should have ended the game...he was clearly going for the ball which he has every right to. They need to be able to challenge a bad call like that as it could have been costly in a real game.
I'm expecting a much cleaner game from the offense next week.
Btw, the Rams put a quick lil highlight video and introduced Sammy Watkins as he was on the sidelines during the fourth quarter and the crowd gave a nice welcome.
