For years you and I have made the point that Raheem had four HOF and his D was mediocre. I am happy for Morris that he got a second chance but I am elated that we have Shula as our DC, I think we are going to be top 10 in D.
Notice Reeder and Hoecht played well in this scheme.
I think deep down everyone knows that Morris ran the softest defense in the league even if they won't admit it. It was a glorified prevent defense.
He was very blessed to have all those HOF'ers to work with and as good as they were, I still think that they could've been even better in a more physical attacking style scheme. It seemed then and now that we really wasted the talent on those defenses by handcuffing them like we did.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
