Cap guys, please help re: Stafford's contract

If the Rams moved on from Stafford after this season, what would the cap hit be?

How about after the 2025 season?

I ask because I smell an opportunity for the Rams to get a younger QB coming up this next off season, in Dak Prescott, if they want to. But, it can't happen if the cap hit for trading Stafford or releasing him were too large.

That said, from what I can tell Stafford is signed through the 2026 season. And, as it stands today, I'd like nothing better than for him to play out his contract for the Rams and for the FO and fans to stop looking at the calendar and instead watch him play. That dude is still a prime time QB with a great arm and the Rams ought to keep him around if they can. I just don't see any sign of him slipping. In fact, he might be playing better than ever because he just sees the game at an elite level.

As for Dak, I suspect he'd thrive under McVay. But, head to head, I'd prefer the Rams stick with Stafford.
