Heard on NFL Network that he took the call from the chargers at his best friend's funeral. He was a pallbearer and gave a eulogy. I remember how hard it was for me when my best friend passed away while we were in college. I am sure he did not really care about his falling down the draft boards, as that was so unimportant today.
