It's a reasonable gamble

Broncs gave a bag of chips for Wilson. But, to do so and pick up his salary just goes to show you how frustrating it is to get a QB in the NFL.
Wilson has been around awhile and still can't do much. So, why is Payton picking him up at all? What possible upside to the QB room can Wilson be? A punching bag? If Russell Wilson can't please Payton I can't imagine how he'll feel about Zach.

I have to say, this makes no sense to me at all and wreaks of desperation.

Doing this type of thing you are buying low on a position that is enormously hard to find. Chances are this kid is a bust. But Payton, as much as I detest him, is a fine coach and will get the most from him, whatever that is.

I think the Rams would have gotten the most from him as well. But what is interesting in this scenario is that the Rams, being the team who has his former coach on their staff, were not the team pulling the trigger on him. To me that speaks volumes.

Is it the kid or is it the coaching and do his teammates like him?

Stafford920April 23, 2024 05:24AM

OK, but how many QB with his horrible record and performances turn around?

RockRam20April 23, 2024 01:21AM

Out of the 2021 QB class only Lawrence remains with the team that drafted him
