Especially as the years have gone by, he seems to have adopted a "more darts to throw" draft philosophy. And when I look at the players, the positions, where the draftable players seem few or many, the Rams needs, the fact (that cannot be underestimated) that under McVay the Rams will be an offense-first mentality/structure, and the roster as currently constituted, I find it not believable that he would trade UP giving up valuable "darts" and putting too many eggs in one basket (one pick). Mainly, because there is no need to do that. They are NOT "one player away", and when a team is one player away, that player sure won't be a rookie draft selection.

Anyway, it's just my opinion and speculation.


What I do know is that Snead is not cemented into any particular draft solution. He'll be elastic and adapt to the overall circumstances. And, I think that makes him a better GM.
