Kyren Williams enjoyed a massive breakout in 2023, going from backup running back to one of the most productive players at his position. He rushed for 1,144 yards and 12 touchdowns in only 12 games, adding another 206 yards and three touchdowns as a receiver.

He missed four games due to injury and sat out Week 18 for rest, so he could’ve put up some seriously impressive numbers had he stayed healthy all year. Williams is on a rise to stardom as a top running back and the oddsmakers are taking notice.

According to BetMGM, Williams has odds of +2200 ($100 wins $2,200) to win Offensive Player of the Year next season, which are the sixth-best of any player. Only Christian McCaffrey (+500), Tyreek Hill (+600), Justin Jefferson (+650), Ja’Marr Chase (+700) and CeeDee Lamb (+850) have better odds.

Williams is tied with Jonathan Taylor and Jahmyr Gibbs at +2200. Puka Nacua isn’t far behind with +3000 odds, which is tied for the 11th-best.

The Rams have made no additions at running back so the full expectation is that he’ll be the workhorse again in 2024, which will give him the lion’s share of touches. Los Angeles is still likely to take some of the wear and tear off of him by giving another running back more opportunities in an attempt to keep Williams healthy, but he’s the main touchdown-scorer and runner for the Rams.
