The Seahawks still have another third-round pick, No. 81 overall, which they acquired in a trade with Denver during last year's draft."
The Seahawks turned a 3rd into a 4th and a 5th into a 6th in order to get Howell.
If the Rams front office were absolutely convinced in their view of Howell as a successor, wouldn't they have made another offer?
It seems like when they want a veteran player the Rams front office is willing to pay a premium in draft picks.
