End of the 1st, beginning of the 2nd usually has the best value. Maybe pick up one or 2 more later round picks and pick up more 3rd round picks, where there will be a ton of talent this year.
If Rams were to trade up and give away a 2nd to get it (maybe getting a 4th back) and if they were to trade down and get an extra second (maybe having to give away a 5th to been it up) then the difference in Dallas Turner and Chop (presuming those would be the picks, one at say 12 the other at say 25) is a first round pick.
two 2s are worth a 1 ... and getting one for Robinson and losing one for Turner is the different of 2 #2s give or take.
So, is Turner THAT much better a prospect? I don't know the answer. I do think that much of what a player does in the NFL is up to him. Learning, studying, getting stronger ---
Maybe Turner is worth a 1st round pick more than Robinson ... but chances are, as you suggest, they are not
So, Robinson, with the flaws, and we've all heard them, seems to have physical skills and i a sharp kid and should do fine... along with an extra pick, a 2nd or so, call it a late 2nd where Rams could get a WR, or CB or DI that they wouldn't have otherwise makes too much sense.
