I'd say that if they do, the Rams trade the pick

I just cannot see the Rams picking a QB that they do not need when bypassing a player they desperately need...an Edge.

Snead, I think, would entertain a trade of that pick and probably be pretty ruthless demanding a good return. Something like a 1st round next year plus a 2nd and 3rd this year. Of course, if he didn't get an offer, he'd just pick the player we need be it an Edge (first) or a DT.
