What happened to the Mark Bavaros of the NFL??

It has surprised me in the last several years just how easy big guys are dropped by rather small CBs. That was what I liked about Walter Payton...HE attacked the Defender. Defenders rarely teed off on him because HE was trying to tee off on them!
I brought up a few months ago how I wish the Rams included a Bad A$$ FB in their Offense. Just like Brian Alstott of the Bucs back in the day.
I will say.....As small as he is, I have seen Kupp BATTLE with the football. The game I attended in 2019 at the Coliseum vs the Saints..He had a HELLUVA catch n run where he battled for 50-60 yards.
