Spotrac has Rams with $23.6 mil under the cap.

Assuming this number takes everything into account to date, then the Rams are in fine shape to add another couple of mid-level FAs if they want to. Or, to put themselves in a position for a trade, or a vet pick-up later on, in addition to having plenty to sign their draft class.

You don't need to have been hugely under the cap at this point to get the FAs you'd like to have. The Washington Commanders have nearly 3 times the cap money the Rams have, but have not been able to sign all the FAs that such a number says they should have to greatly upgrade their roster. Why? Who wants to play for the Commanders? I would say that currently only someone looking for the highest bidder. But, who wants to play for the Rams? A lot more than want to play for the Commanders, who want to consider organization and playoff opportunities, and they are willing to play for a little under market (as evident with Dotson, Williams, and Curl). I have no doubt Robinson could have got more somewhere else, as well, when you look at some of the outlandish numbers FA WRs are getting.

Bottom line: the Rams have enough money, and still retain the ability to do some more restructures if need be, to get the guys they want within the strategy they have established.
