But I'm beginning to think you draft players, not draft positions.
Snead knows who he wants, and who he can likely get, in this draft.
Where he sees value in a player and can go after him without taking a loss in draft capital, he'll trade up.
If the thinks a player (or group of players) of value will be available later he'll trade down either to accrue picks or trade picks elsewhere in the draft.
That said - he's already fortified the CB position via free agency signup. If he signs an edge in free agency it'll be worth what it costs to get the player. Overpriced high profile player? Not too likely.
If he can't tie one up in free agency he no doubt has his eye on preferred players to draft - and if need be, trades lined up to go git 'em. And the Plan B and backup to Plan B scenarios as the draft plays out are already in his mind. He can negotiate, he cannot dictate.
Whatever he does, it will be the best he could have done, with the cards he had to play at the time he had to place his bets throughout the draft.
