The Chiefs failed to congratulate the 49ers during celebration

And I didn't see Shanahan congratulate anyone either. I was surprised that Coach Reed didn't at least shout out to the other team coach. Both Vermeil and Coach McVay both congratulated their vanquished opponents in the Super Bowl prior to speaking.

Not only is it the classy thing to do it makes you look better.

If about the vanquished team you say is among the best of the best teams in the NFL, there's a reason they're in the Super Bowl, blah blah blah and a team with a lot of superstars, across-the-board with a fine coaching staff, etc. literally just pour on the superlatives before, congratulating your own team for withstanding such an onslaught.

You've just made your success even greater.

What's the downside?

Maybe my headset about Shanny is over-critical
