No, read up on overtime rules for postseason including Super Bowl.
Each team is guaranteed a possession.
If the first 15minutes run out, they go into the "2nd quarter" and the clock starts again.
If after both teams get their possession and they tie... then next score wins.
If the score remains tied even after the "2nd quarter of OT" they go into a short halftime and then another quarter starts again until somebody scores.
Chiefs knew what they were doing. Fans know less.

usually you have to tie it up for it to go into double OT, so now it just lets the qtr expire even if you are trailing but still have possesion of the ball?
