4th and goal on the 1 yards line, unless I needed a FG to win the game I'd go for 100% of the time. 4th and 2, 4th and 3 when your in FG range... nope.
Its just math, they convert 4th downs 50% of the time and make FG's under 50 yards 80% of the time.
