PFF Names Five Possible Landing Spots for Brian Burns
The Panthers will have to fight off others to keep one of their top free agents.

The Carolina Panthers will have a busy offseason for the second year in a row dealing with a head coaching change, a front office restructure, and of course, some roster moves.
New general manager Dan Morgan will be tasked with making ground in the contract discussions with elite pass rusher Brian Burns, who was unable to strike a deal with now former GM Scott Fitterer and salary cap manager Samir Suleiman.
Burns will be viewed as one of the top unrestricted free agents on the market this offseason and it should be a top priority for Morgan and co. to keep him in Charlotte. Pass rushers of his caliber don't grow on trees and for this organization to turn things around, you need guys like Burns on the roster.
Pro Football Focus recently mentioned four teams that could be a fit for Burns in addition to Carolina - Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Giants, and Arizona Cardinals.
The Rams will almost certainly be in the mix having sent Carolina a trade offer for Burns each of the past two years.
When asked if he wants to remain in Carolina Burns responded, "That's the plan. Ain't no telling what's going to happen. I just know they got a lot of stuff to do -- they got a lot of stuff to figure out. I don't think I'm number one on that list right now. Best thing I can do is be ready. If it do turn out that they do want to keep me here and I stay, I'm ready. And if it turns out I have to go somewhere else, I'm definitely ready for that too. As long as I'm ready in any angle, I'll be fine."
