Snead says the Rams will begin outlining a blueprint and communication timeline with RG Kevin Dotson's agent. They want to extend Dotson, but also have to be prepared that he'll have a competitive market. "The vision" is continuity, per Snead.

Snead indicated that ILB Ernest Jones is a candidate for an extension after third season. "Definitely the leader of the defense ... In the past obviously we'd been invested in other positions. ... He's definitely someone we'll discuss and someone we'd like to have around."
I find this interesting as I don't see much difference (in terms of play) between Jones and Cory Littleton - who the team let walk upon his contract ending. Have to wonder if this ties in with the "continuity" talk referenced with Dotson? Who else might be in line to be re-signed (both for solid play and continuity) - Witherspoon?
