That would happen to a rookie who has little to no play time in games.....When I saw him running in what space he had I thought he had a good "glide" to his movement.....A rookie who is 4th in the role would be tentative because he doesn't have the feel for his blocking, and like you say he's thinking too much...playing time slows that game down, thinking becomes natural reaction.
