Look how heavy they are at the boss (where the horn connects to the head.)

Look how thick they are until that final tapering into the tip.

Look how closely they are spaced.

OUR horns don't look like that but they used to.

Do you suppose that the current uniform designers, not being outdoors people, modeled the current horns from a domestic billy goat???

(BTW great photograph. Reminds me of some I took a few miles down the road from where I live. I'd [post them, along with photos of some neighbors goats, if I knew how.)
