Ebukam question

Watching the Colts Texans game and it occurs to me, was Samson always this good? I remember he would flash maybe 4 times a year when he was with us but in general was just a guy, but he seems to stand out with every team since he left. I could have cared less when he left the Rams but now find myself wishing we still had him. Is it selective memory or is he a late bloomer?
