It's "Law" in the NFL that "Team" comes first. "Records" an afterthought. I could be very wrong here but I don't think a coach 'announcing' that setting a record was the reason a player was playing has happened very many times in the NFL... if ever before? Lot of statements from coaches making statements that they were 'aware' of a pending record setting performance and hopes that said player could break the record... as long as 'team' decisions ruled.... but to 'game plan' for an individuals record? I think that's rare indeed.
