People are having a hard time understanding, but the Rams brought in Dicker last year to compete for the punting job with Riley Dixon. Now I wish they kept him over Dixon as the punter, so they could have used him as the kicker this year, but the Rams did not and they had Gay. Now they could have kept him on the practice squad, which I wish they would have, but he still could have been poached. He never kicked for the Rams in preseason, he only punted.
If it was a year later, things would be different, but the Eagles signed Dicker when Elliott got hurt and then released him and then the Chargers signed him when Hopkins got hurt.
